Red bean is original from South America where it has been grown for around 7000 years. The Spanish explorers spread it in Europe in the XVI century. It is a very known food, traditionally used in "Feijoada", bean rice, stews, salads, etc.
Suggested use: Soak for 8 hours, and cook for 45 minutes in the pressure cooker. If you add a strip of Kombu seaweed during soaking and cooking, it will help the beans getting tender and will make them more digestible.
