Wheat Germ is the heart of wheat, the embryo from which the future plant develops.
Despite being only 2% of the wheat, it is the most nutritionally rich part. It is a good source of proteins, complex B and E vitamins, Phosphorous, Iron and Magnesium. It is one of the best sources of Vitamin E and one of the few food products containing the whole B complex.
