Daily food in North Africa, the name couscous derives from an arabic term which means to pulverize or crush. It is obtained from groats or wheat flour aggregated in small grains.
Due to its richness in carbon hydrates, couscous may be a different side dish to those who search for a varied diet with new flavours. It is a great alternative to rice, potatoes or pasta, and may also be used in salads or desserts.
